After adding background now you can adjust it according to your need and if you want to add some extra layers then click on the layer option on the upper right side after clicking media now select which type of layer you want to add there Media, Overlay or Text, if you want to add media overlay like a custom photo or video then click on the media and select the picture or video which you want to add as a layer after selecting that picture or video will automatically be added in the timeline of kinemaster under the background of your video.
You can also adjust the layers according to your need you can drag that layer left and right on both sides to increase the timing or length of your layer.

To add sound to your video in kinemster click on the audio option on the upper right-hand side after clicking audio now you can select any mp3 or audio file from your phone storage after selecting the audio file click the + icon then the audio will automatically be added in your timeline.
if you want to add a custom voice-over then you can also have the option under the audio option on the upper right-hand side called REC click on the REC after clicking now you can add a custom voice or your own voice in the video.
There is another option also that is called extract audio from the video to use this option first you need to add an mp4 layer or any video to your from which you need to extract sound after adding the layer now select the layer in the timeline after selecting the layer you can access a lot of option on the right side now scroll down a little bit after scrolling down you have the option extract click on the extracted audio to get the sound from the video now you can then delete the video clip you added.
